Slowly, she rubbed her eyes with the back of her hands, trying to get her vision to be a bit more clear. The blurry spots had indeed seemed to vanish a bit, as she hoped she would keep it that way. His words made her look at him a bit confused. Why he took it that personal was weird to her. Ot was just a reflex, she used to protect herself just in case something would ever grab het while she's asleep. She didn't mean it in an offensive way.
She rolled her eyes, getting a little annoyed at his comments, though she didn't comment on it, she simply refused. She knew she was right, seeing how the car in fact did run out of fuel, despite her telling him he needed to get some new fuel. She looked around for a moment, not being able to get used to the sudden silence. She rumbling of the car engine had stopped and there seemed to be not enough walkers to fill the quitte void. Her eyes scanned the few buildings that she was abke to see from where she was standing. Most of them bad broken windows, probably created by looters, who tried to get their hands on whatever they could find. Once again, she looked back at the boy by her side, noticing how he checked the signs that were next to the road. The name of the motel became visible to her as well, wich would probably make it a lot easier to find.
A slight smile was visible on her face as she took the map from his hand, looking at the x mark he'd drawn on it, marking the location of the motel. She nodded once, as a way of agreeing with his plan, not knowing anything better. Leaving the car behind would be a waste, judging by the brand of it, and the fact that it still worked. 'I'll see you at the motel.' She mumbled, before she started walking. No walkers seemed to walk on the road, making it quitte, a silence she could barely stand. She was used to the sounds she heard all the time, so ate times like these, when there was nothing to hear, it made everything just weird. It was calming in a way, yet it felt disturbing. Pieces of shattered glass covered the road beneath her, as a result of people trying to break car windows, maybe to escape, maybe to steal the vehicle. She didn't walk all that fast, her eyes locked on the map, not wanting to get lost in a city she barely knew. Every sounds, she seemed to notice, wich were only made more clear by the silence. The soft growls of some distant walkers didn't even get her to look up from the bloody piece of paper, she held in her hands. Her feet were hurting a bit, probably because of the new shoes she was wearing, though it didn't bother her all that much. A growl, however, came from a being, way too close to her. Quickly she looked up, spotting a walker coming her way, but she soon shot it down with the rifle that she carried over he shoulder, with the help of the strap.
