Mijn interpretatie is dat deze man depressief is. Het witte doek illustreert de leegte, in zijn emoties en leven, en de kamer is rommelig (voor mensen met depressie kan het netjes houden van hun omgeving onmogelijk zijn). Misschien dat hij zo lang naar de leegte blijft staren in de hoop iets te voelen of te zien
