Normally I wouldn't stop reading an ARC, but I am halfway and I just can't finish this. The book never managed to draw me into the world, the characters are introduced badly and the story just doesn't work for me. It goes from the father weaving everybody's dreams, to some of the sisters doing just one at a time, and so on. It just doesn't make any sense in the world Lee is trying to build. 

The characters are also not very like-able, they feel childish and because I don't get to know them properly, I don't care about them at all. I disliked Alissandra from the start and honestly, it just didn't get better (especially because she is the MC). 

I do give it two stars because Lee's writing is great. I may not like the characters, the world or the story, but that doesn't take anything away from the fact that she can write. 

When I try one of her other books, I hope I will enjoy them more.

Denk dat ze het wel waardeert dat je eerlijk bent. Als je nou had gelogen om d'r simpel weg een goede review te geven, en ze komt er dalijk via via achter dat het helemaal niet zo goed is. Dan denk ik dat het nog sneuer geweest zou zijn ;3

Denk dat mensen het zien als feedback om het de volgende keer beter te doen, en niet als iets negatiefs.

Snap wel dat je het kut voor d'r vind om een negatieve review te geven want dat zou ik ook vinden, maar dat is het risico van haar vak en dat weet ze

de volgende keer schrijft ze misschien wel een topper? en anders bleef ze op dezelfde manier schrijven en viel het volgende ook weer tegen en snapt zij ook niet waarom de verkoopcijfers tegenvallen omdat de reviews allemaal goed zijn en dat is veel frustrerender.. 

dus je helpt haar alleen maar en ik denk dat ze je daar op gegeven moment juist dankbaar voor is.
