Naam:  Iris Quinn ook wel Nightshot genoemd.
Leeftijd: 18
Geslacht: Vrouwelijk

Naam: Auguste Charles Xavier
Leeftijd: 21
Uiterlijk:

Mike L. :: Newfaces – Models.com's Model of the Week and Daily Duo

Iris still had mixed feelings about this whole heroe-school thing. But her mother insisted on the fact that it was the perfect place to make connections with all the young superheroes who one day would become her enemies. She sighed when she walked through the doors of the giant building. Het mother had never known her doubts about being a villain.
Like, the villains never won a thing and yes she loved breaking rules and using her poisons on people but did that really ment she was evil. Nevertheless, it wasn't even sure if she could study here because of her mothers reputation. First she had an appointment with the head op the school who would decide if she could stay or should leave. When she walked through the hallways she felt some boys gazing at her. Probably because of her short clothes that accentuated her female curves. She knew some people would find her outfit sluttish, that was her intention. She knocked on the door of the heads office and a womans voice told her she could come in. "Hello, my name is..."
"Iris Quinn, you really look like your mother" said Storm head of the school. "Well please sit down, i'm going to ask you some questions, well actually Auguste will ask you some questions, he's one of our best students and I think he'll arrive any minute" Iris raised and elbrow. 'Why should this Auguste ask her some questions and not the head herself' she thought when someone knocked on the door.

The hallway was filled with students. It was even more crowded than usual, but Auguste had no trouble at all manoeuvring through the many young mutants. With an inviting smile on his face, he cleverly made his way through the halls. Even though he had a rather important appointment to get to, he wasn’t going to let that get in the way of greeting some of his friends that called his attention as he passed them. He’d always loved the beginning of a new year at the school; everyone was still excited to see their friends and not yet exhausted by all the work they had to do. It was nice to see smiling faces in the halls for a change, it even managed to cheer Auguste himself up and took his mind off the appointment he had, even if it was only for a couple of seconds. He was certainly not looking forward to meeting the potentially new student, but his father was busy – as always – and he didn’t trust many people with this job besides his own son. Of course, Auguste was flattered that the professor thought so highly of him, but he’d much rather catch up with his friends then waste his time on this girl. What was her name again? He couldn’t remember, but he shook it off. They’d be meeting each other in a few minutes anyways, so why bother trying to remember her name?
Still smiling, he knocked on the door of the office. He’d heard voices and didn’t want to seem rude by simply barging into the room. When he heard Storm’s familiar voice telling him to come in, he quickly obliged. The first thing that caught his attention, was the rather interesting looking girl, standing with Storm. He couldn’t help but take a second to look at her physique and unusual, but alluring choice of clothing. ‘This might become a little more interesting than I thought, after all,’ he thought, as he closed the door behind him.
“Good morning,” he greeted both of them. He then made his way over to the girl and extended his hand for her to shake it.
“Auguste Xavier,” he introduced himself, “nice to meet you.”
“Alright, you can handle this, right? I still have some things to do, people to meet, you know the drill,” Storm said, already making her way to the door.
“No problem,” Auguste smiled, “I can handle it, don’t even worry about it.” When Storm closed the door behind her, Auguste calmly walked over to the large desk and sat down in the chair standing behind it. Still silent, he grabbed a piece of a paper from one of the drawers and a pen from where it was laying on the desk.
“So,” he started after a while, tapping the pen on the paper, “let’s start with a simple question. You want to attend Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. Why?” He looked up at her, still with that small smile. Oh, and don’t try to lie to me, that would be nothing but a waste of time for both of us. He didn’t have to say the words out loud; using his telepathic gift, he could communicate with her, without actually communicating. The question was rather easy for some mutants, the mutants who just wanted to fight for the greater good, who were sick of the oppression and wanted to make a difference. For others, it wasn’t quite that easy, which is why this was a great question to ask, especially since the mutants couldn’t possibly lie to him.

Iris examined the boy who shook her hand. He was goodlooking, but she as no other knew how deceiving looks could be. "The pleasure is all mine, I'm Iris Quinn."
She raised an eyebrow when Storm left the office. She must really trust this boy to leave him alone with her.
The answer to her question came when she heard his voice in her head. She already guessed that he would be a telephat, just like his father. The thought of him looking into her mind was kinda exciting. What would he see and even better what could she let him see. But it was also disturbing. She liked to keep her thoughts to herself.
"You know the last time they left me alone with a guy, some boring questions were the least of our cares. But you aren't that type of guy, are you Auguste? You're that typical mister nice, always helping others, just like your daddy. Looks like a pretty boring life-style to me. Always having to listen to someone elses problems. Do you even have time to solve your own issues, to have some fun. Cause here you are conducting a boring interview instead of doing something amusing. Even though I must admit that my company can be rather pleasing." She swiftly touched his foot with hers.
"To answer your question. This is a school for gifted youngsters. Last time I checked I was gifted and I'm still a youngster. Ow would you perhaps be interested in a demonstration of my powers. I can assure you that you will be amazed."

He couldn’t help but chuckle a little at the girl’s attempt to throw him off his game. His previous assumption appeared to be correct, as she already turned out to be more interesting than he thought and she hadn’t even answered his question yet. To him, it was obvious that she was trying to avoid his question for whatever reason – he could think of a couple, none of which worked in her favour if she wanted to get into the school –, at least for a little while, as if to buy herself some time to think about her answer. Having to think about the answer, usually didn’t mean anything good. It was usually a sign that the mutant was about to lie. Honest answers didn’t need thinking, lies, on the other hand, were a little more difficult. He was going to give her another chance though, as he may or may not have been enjoying the conversation a little so far. He was very tempted to think of some sort of clever comeback, but managed to withhold it. This was really not the time to toy around, no matter how much he might like it, he wouldn’t let her play that game with him.
“If you already know as much about me as you seem to think you know, you must also be aware that I’m not one to play games with, it just won’t work, so why don’t you stop wasting my time and really answer my question, as I think we both know that what you said, is not exactly what I meant.” His voice was a little colder than before, as he had already figured out that playing nice and flirting back wouldn’t help with her. She seemed to need some encouragement, and somehow he thought that sweet talking just wouldn’t do the trick. He realised that he was completely ignoring most of what she said, but since almost everything that came out of her mouth so far had been completely irrelevant, he felt like it was justified. He already had a fair idea of her powers, as they were described in her application. He also wasn’t interested in talking about his personal life to anyone, let alone to a complete stranger.
Even though he did feel completely justified in his actions, he felt like he was being a tad rude. If he wanted to keep up his nice boy image, he couldn’t afford coming across as blunt to a possible new student.
“I apologise for being so straightforward,” he therefore added, after a small sigh, “A lot of trust was needed before I got do this and I’d rather not disappoint those who trust me. I hope you can understand and please cooperate.” He still wouldn’t let his voice return to the soft tone it usually was, but at least he apologised now, at least he wasn’t being a complete dick.

Iris smile disappeared from her face. She sat back down. Apparently August wasn't always mister nice-guy. He clearly had a somewhat darker side. "There's no need to apologise. I prefer guys who are a bit more challenging. But you're right, you deserve an honest answer. Even tough I already know you will be dissapointed." She looked at the ceiling. Thinking about the best way to say this. "I actually don't know why I'm here. I'm certainly not interested in saving the day, fighting for the greater good, that sort of things. But on the other hand world domination sounds boring too. I mean what are you going to do next after you've already conquered everything. And with a whole world to control there's no time for anything else, cause you don't want the whole population to starve out. Plus you make a lot of enemies, and live in constant fear of your own live.
You see, I don't know what I will do with my live. I still have enough time to decide. But maybe this school will give me answers. If I at least get accepted of course. Otherwise I could always plan some evil vengeance action. My mothers would be thrilled to see that." She looked him straight in the eyes. "So does this covers your question?" she asked. She wasn't totally sure if her answer would please him. Maybe she should have left the vengeance part out.

"That's..." He took a deep breath, trying to figure out just exactly what that was. "...interesting," he finally decided on. He took a minute to let everything she just said sink in. She didn't seem to be lying or manipulating him this time, apparently realising that this was meant to be a serious interview and not something to joke about.
"So you're doubting... we don't get a lot of doubters here, you know." He sighed again, wondering what to ask her next. He leant back into the desk chair and looked her over once more, quietly trying to get a full picture of her by reading her mind, but unexpectedly failing. Usually, he was able to fairly accurately estimate what side mutants were leaning towards, but even though one would expect her to follow her mothers' footsteps, she didn't seem too thrilled about that idea. But then again, she'd also made it quite clear that she wouldn't want to fight for the good side either. Her doubt left August unsure, almost confused. She could be a dangerous enemy if he rejected her, but an even more dangerous one if accepted - after all, an enemy that knows your weaknesses is far more threatening than one that's just taking a shot in the dark. He looked down at his still empty paper and the pen in his hand, hovering over it. He hesitated for a moment, before putting the pen back down. Something told him he wasn't going to write down a lot during this interview, not if Iris would keep up her doubt.
"Right then, let's move on to the next question," he said, "why do you think I - we - should accept you? What makes you a useful asset for the school?" This time, he knew better than to expect anything like the usual "I'm a very hard worker" and "I just want to prove myself to the world". He actually found himself curious to her answer, as he knew it would most likely be anything but boring.

"Before answering your next question. I just hope you keep in mind, that my parents weren't always evil. On the contrary, the biggest part of their lives, they lived as normal, good persons. They made their choices and know it's my turn. Whole my life I've had the chance to see what a life on the bad side has to offer. I think this is the perfect opportunity to see what's it like on the good side. And I sincerely hope, you won't take this chance from me."
"Coming back on your second question. With just one glance outside, I can see that your gardener knows absolutely nothing about nature. Those carnations may look nice right now. But who's idea was it to place them next to the hyacinths. In about a month they'll both be dead. And don't get me started on the vegetable garden. Has no one here ever heard of companion planting? If you would let me take care of the garden it would bloom like never before. This may not be of extrordinary value to you and the other students. But it is something."
