"Watch yourself," I whisper in my brothers ear when I let go of our hug. He looks me in the eyes and tells me he will. With one last pat on his shoulder he walks on board. Most people in Fayralen gathered themselves around the Mese tonight, our Harbor, to wave our brothers and loved ones goodbye. We don't know when we will see them again. If we ever get to see them again.

I see some people walk away before the ship even moored and I shrug but am not suprised. I know this is too heavy a burden for some to carry. Some mothers send their own kids off to who knows where. The horn is loud when they sail away and some Elders around me start to cry, but I hold my tears to myself. My brother might still be watching me and I don't want his last memory of me to be me crying, to be me expecting to never see him again. I know he has hope to return, so I should give that to him. I have been trying to give that to him ever since he started talking about joining the other sailors.

The ship starts to fade away in the mist that hangs over the cold ocean and the Mese becomes less crowded again. Eventually I turn my back to the ocean and leave as well.

I decide to take a look at the Dole, our black market, but it is mostly empty. Most people went straight home and I wonder if should have done the same. The big halls are cold and it feels so much bigger now most people are gone. I don't think I have ever seen it this empty. The small potion bottles rinkle against my armor as I walk around the Dole.

From the corner of my eye I see Kancis, one of my dearest friends. He's leaning against a big shelff that almost falls apart, talking to an Elder woman, trying to sell her a fake pack of Dhemions blood. His smirk is telling right away it's fake, the Wise Wizards blood will never be sold for three golden coins, and I can't help but smile when I approach them. The Elder walks away with the pack of blood in her hands. Kancis embraces me when he sees me, "I'm sorry I couldn't be there," he starts but I know he doesn't mean a single word of that. He'd rather be making money all day than supporting a dear friend, but I let it go. "I have some news to make up for it," he continues and all of a sudden I am all ears.

"What did you hear?" I ask, a little too enthusiastic, and embrace him as wel. We walk through the Dole for a bit as he talks: "I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but I was selling an Elder some fake Wizard blood, just a few hours ago. He didn't have the money to pay for it, so I asked if he had any other ways to pay. He said he knew some of the names that would be chosen for this decades Tournament."

"No way," I interrupt him.

He continues with a soft voice; "So I said it was a deal and he whispered a few names to me,-"
"No way, no way, no way," I can't hide my excitement any longer and hold his face between my hands. "He did not!" I try to keep my voice down a bit but I can't help it.

"He didn't.. at first," he tries to throw me off guard but I catch him mid-sentence and hug him immediatly.
"You have no idea what that means to me," I breath in his ear and hug him thighter. A quick I have to tell my brother shoots through me and I feel a shiver go down my spine when I realise he might never even know.

The second I let go of our hug I feel a deep sort of presence in my body, a feeling I don't think I will ever be able to explain, so deep and present, as if it's almost trying to talk to me, trying to tell me something. The feeling you get when you know someone is watching you but you don't know who or where that person is.
"They'll announce it tonight, so act like you don't know," he hisses through his teeth and I promise him I'll be silent, not telling him about the weird feeling I have in my chest. I secretly wonder if he would ever lie something like this, but I try not to give in with this thought.

After a long conversation I go back home, where the rooms feel emptier than ever now my brother is gone. He cleaned out his room himself, sold most of it and left the silver for me to use. I wonder how many days I should wait before trying to summon him. Some say the ocean and the mist will kill them in a matter of minutes, others say they'll torture them for months. No one know the real answer and I don't want to be too early seen the fact I only have blood enough for three summonings. We don't even know whether or not this will work out, and if it does we don't even know what the side effects of this will be. But he agreed to this.

A few hours later I hear the streets getting crowdier outside and I wonder when they will announce the names for the Tournament. I used to think the Tournament would kill me with excitement if Kancis would tell me I'd made it, but somehow all I can think about  is my brother. I know he wouldn't want that for me, but then again, what does he have to wish for? He is the one that left me, saying I'd have enough family around me here. I know he's right but I can't help but feel a bit betrayed.

I decide to take a look outside as well and I bring my belt filled with potion bottles, a sword and my wand. When I get outside the streets are already crowdier than I thought they would be, and I follow the stream of people to the Main Street. It is a slow and chaotic walk, but it takes my mind of of things.

Eventually we get near the Main Street and more and more people start looking at me. They frown and gasp when I walk past them and I can't help but wonder what they know but somehow won't tell me.
And then I see it. The reason if felt so weird in the Dole earlier. The big wall, covered in blood. The five big circles, still dripping, in bright red sweeps. And in the circles, five different names from five different wizzards.

Among which is mine.

CiteerIsilently walk through the streets of Illemis, the cloth around my feet making
sure that I can’t be heard. The streets are empty, there is almost no one
around on the streets. Everyone and everything is just silent, the beautiful
silence always fills Illemis. While I walk up a small rocky stairwell into the
mountains I come across an Elder, meditating on the edge. I greet him and he
greets me back. His voice echo’s through my head as I continue walking up the
mountain. ‘It’s getting late Elder Mizan, animals roam the mountains around
this time.’ I tell him, whispering the words to him. ‘Don’t you worry Ecith, I
heard your heartbeat before you even heard mine.’ Are the words he sends me
back. A small smile forms on my face, you have to always show care for your
family, but at the same time I know he is a more powerful wizard than
I am.

I continue walking the mountain, silently jumping from stone to stone like a
night fox. I listen to the waters streaming down the mountains and the birds
landing in the trees. I’ve always loved being high above the ground, all the
sounds echo through valley. To the other families Illemis sounds like a empty
city. Travellers from Tasina rummage through our streets, thinking we can’t
hear them, but they make the loudest noises. They talk and drag their feet
across the stones  and then get scaredwhen we tell them off.

‘The elders have made their decision Ecith, come down to the fountain, they’re
going to annouce who will fight for Illemis in the Tournament!’ I suddenly hear
my best friend Jazo in my head. ‘I’m on my way’ I tell him back.

I take my wand out of my belt and form a new path for myself by moving the
stones in such a way that I can easily make my way down the mountain, into the
valley. As if I’m one with the wind I jump on one of the roofs, this is the
fastest way to get to the cental fountain. I can hear the people gathering together
by the amount of heartbeats as I come closer. As walk along the roofside
I can start to seethe central fountain, the plaza around it is filled
with people. I decide not to join them on the ground but stay on the roof as I
look over the plaza. I hear someone walk up behind me, knowing it’s Jazo I
laugh silently and tell him that he won’t scare me. ‘Can you for once not be
focussed? I need to get you one day!’ He tells me back and joins beside me on
the roof. We both sit down on the edge and watch the Elders walk up to the
fountain. Elder Mizan is with them, I see him look up at me and he smiles. The
old man made it faster down the mountain than I did, that might be a bit
embarrassing.

The Elder looks over us all and begins to whisper the words to us. He sends his
words to all the people in Illemis, showing how powerfull he is. He makes sure
that even the people in the different towns outside of Illemis can hear him. ‘I
am speaking to you here today, because we have decided who will represent the
Illemis family in the Tournament this decade. We do have to announce that this
choice was very difficult, this is because we have so many powerfull wizards
and witches among us.’ He pauses for a second, letting the silence fill the
crowd again. ‘Listen carefully my family and you will hear the voices of our
winners’. And with those words he ends his speech.

He closes his eyes and the first voice is spread amongst the people: ‘I will
make Illemis herself proud.’ A deep voice says, I recognize that voice
instantly, it belongs to Kito Domung, a guy who I used to go to school with. He
has always been a very powerfull student and it would’ve been a surprise if he
wasn’t chosen. The people among the crowd seem to discuss the voice and are
asking each other if the others recognized it. Then the second voice comes in:
‘We are one, I will fight for all of us.’ A woman’s voice says, her voice is
calm but I do not recognize it. The third voice comes to us: ‘Magic is what
Illemis gave us, we should not hold back.’ A young voice says, sounds like a
boy. ‘That’s Azall his voice.’ Jazo whispers to me and I nod, Azall just turned
twenty but his magic levels have shown incredible power. The fourth voice comes
foward: ‘Sight is not needed when sound will lead you the right way.’ It’s the
voice of a man, I’ve heard it before but I can’t seem to remember where. Then
the fifth and final voice is revealed to us: ‘Never will the sounds lead me
astray.’ I almost lose my balance as I hear this voice but Jazo warps his arms
around me. ‘Ecith you did it! I am so proud of you.’ He tells me and smile back
at him. It was my voice.

The chaos gets bigger and bigger when people realise I am along them. Some pull my arm, pat my back and everyone congratulates me. The entire Main Street is fully crowded and I can barely walk. When I get closer to the wall, I read the names of the other Wizards; Ekey Thuvior Exon, a great wizard but a bit old for the competition. I once heard a rumor he tried to get into the Tournament a few years in a row, but never got in. This year he did it. The second name on the wall is Ehith Eganis, who is one of the most powerfull witches alive in Rayfalen right now and it doesn't suprise me at all she got in. I help but think it would be such a shame if she wouldn't make it. The third name is Asim Udell Sheneth, I don't really know them but I know Kancis, my close friend, knows him really well, I believe he used to teach Kancis some dark spells. And that's why the fourth name suprises me so much. It's his. Kancis Roamex, written in blood but almost dried up by now. He never told me he signed up for the Tournament.

People try to talk to me but I can't hear them among all the other voices that try to talk to me as well. I jack back my arm when someone in the crowd grabs it and I try to find my wand in the chaos. I point my wand high up and scream: "Ulekore!" As if an extreme rush of wind hit them, people fly around and crash on the ground a second later, at least 7 feet away from me. I hasty run into a side-road, attached to the Main Street, and try to find my way to Kancis home.

It takes me short while to get there, but when I do, he isn't there. I grab my wand again and break open the lock with a basic spell he thought me a few years ago. I walk into his house, closing the door behind me. His house smells and when I enter what is supposed to be his living room, I see a big kettle of fake blood simmer in the middle of the room. The entire room is filled in a deep red haze and it smells horribly bad. The scent burns down my nose and I can almost taste the smoke on my tongue. I cover my mouth with a spiece of my scarf and whispher "Izahl" under my breath while swishing my wand around and the kettle stops simmering immediatly.

I grab one of his chairs and pull them into a corner of the room, where I sit and wait for him to come home. With the scarf still around my mouth I sit there for almost an hour untill I hear the front door.  I hear him talk to someone when he walks into his house and I wonder if the Elders already came to pick him for the Tournament. But when he walks into the house, his company suprises me even more. He is with one of the wizards that will attent the Tournament as well; Ekey Thuvior Exon, the oldest wizard that will attent the Tournament for Rayfalen.

When Kancis enters the room, I stand up. He immediatly notices me and turns himself to Ekey. "Narru and I need to talk for a minute." Ekey doesn't ask a single question and leaves the room.

"Why did you keep this a secret for me?" I ask him directly, looking into his eyes.

His hand moves to his wand, so I grab mine in a reflex as well. "Slow down," he whispers.

"You're the one that grabbed your wand."

The tension in the room is getting thicker, but he lowers his wand and places it on the ground. His feet push it a little more in my direction, so it is now outside of his reach. "I was gonna put it down," he says. "So we could talk."

I hold my wand up, higher now. "You know they put my name in there to use me as bait. They put Ehith in there. Why did they choose you? Why didn't you tell me anything."

"I was gonna," he raises his hands to show me he means no harm but I don't lower my wand down. He looks me in the eyes as he speaks. "You're brother made me do it-"

"Avius!" I yell quickly but he ducks and avoids my cast. "My brother would never do anything like that."
"Let me explain," he whispers, covering his face with his hands. "You're brother knew three years ago that he would join the sailors on their way to The Island. It was his plan all along. Ever since he knew you wanted to fight. He wanted to help you, so he went, knowing he would never survive-"

"He would've told me!" I walk closer to Kancis, still with my wand up, it's almost touching his face.
"So he asked me to do this for you," he tries to explain.

"And you just did that? You are not the type of person that would sacrifice your life to keep someone else safe. You've never even been close to my brother," I fire back through my teeth.

"I wanted to tell you!"

"Well you should've done so." I sweep with my wand and whisper a spell under my breath. When I walk away the kettle filled with hot, thick, fake blood falls over and covers Kancis in the warm blood. "Keep your bullshit to yourself the next time I see you. We might be in the same competition but we both know we'll never make it together anyway." And with those words I leave his house.

It is the purest bullshit I have ever heard, Kancis getting into the Tournament because my brother told him to do so. Kancis isn't even that powerfull; he sells fake wizard blood for a living. And then a thought hits me: That's why he's in there. The counsil doesn't want Kancis to keep selling at the Dole because it makes the witches and wizards less powerfull. They put him in for bait, not me. Which means I have a chance.

My walk home is pretty long, Kancis lives on the other side of the city, so when I get home it's already dark outside. When I enter my own home, I notice that the door isn't locked. I grab my wand again and walk inside.

On the couch sits an old lady with her arms crossed. She wears a hat so big I can't see her face. "Where have you been?" She asks. "Whereever it was, you now only have 14 minutes to pack everything you're gonna need in the Tournament, because we are leaving for Oduldale."

When the last voice, my voice, was gone the Elders stood there a few minutes in
silence. They gave the people some time to think and discuss. Suddenly all
three Elders turned around towards the fountain. They grabbed their wands and
all swung them in a similar motion. The water in the fountain stopped moving
and started flowing upwards above the fountain. Five big water bubbles weere
floating in the sky, shining bright in the light of the moon. One of the
bubbles started to change shapes and the shapes changed into letters. The
waters was taking the shape of a name, the name of the first winner; Kito
Domung. I could see him standin in the crowd below, friends pulling his arm and
other people also wanting to congratulate him. Then the second bubble started
changing, and the second name was shown; Aria nis Evous. I did not recognize
her voice and also don't recognize her name. She must live in the outer skirts
of the city or maybe even a town outside of Illemis. I am quite confused on why
they chose her, if she was very powerfull I would've known her, but I've never
even heard of her. Before I could think too much about it the third bubble
started taking the shape of the third name; Azall Uresea. It would've surprised
me if Azall wasn't chosen, his magic is very powerfull, but he has his
weaknesses because he mostly only focusses on one type of magic and not all the
basics. Then the fourth name could be seen, the water changing shapes again and
glinstering in the moonlight; Thowh Ecca Mezaam. I couldn't believe I didn't
recognize his voice. He is now twentynine years old and already a teaching
magic in the schools. He has a lot of knowledge about all different kinds of
magic and knows how to handle them well.

Then the last bubble starts changing, and it forms my name; Ecith Ane
Desari. My heart skips a beat as I see a large portion of the crowd look up at
me on the roof as they start cheering. I'm not used to being in the spotlight
and just smile at the crowd. The Elders lower the water again back in the
fountain and leave the plaza shortly after. The crowd is celebrating, for the
first time in so long they are not completely silent, there is music playing in
the plaza and laturns are lighting up the city. It's a beautifull sight to see.
When I look back at the place where Kito was standing before he is now gone.

Jazo grabs my arm and pulls me up from the side of the roof. ''Let's go to a
less loud and less crowded area.'' I nod in response and we walk over the
rooftops together.

''Can't believe you have actually been chosen Ecith! This is amazing, imagine
if you win, you'll be seen as the most young and powerfull witch of this
decade.'' He rambles on. While I smile and walk next to him laughing at his
excitement. ''If I win ofcourse, I am one of fifty Jazo, the chance I win or
even survive is very small remember?'' I give him a slightly sad smile, the
tournament is almost impossible to win and ofcourse I knew that. I've always
wanted to fight in the tournament.

I suddenly hear some people getting closer, definetly trained people from
Illemis, I can only hear the heartbeats and not their footsteps. ''Be silent
Jazo, there are people coming towards us and they are being suspicously
silent.'' I tell him in his head. He nods in response.

''They are behind us Jazo, also on the roofs.'' I tell him and as I was about
to turn around I hear someone landing behind me and laying a hand on my
shoulder. He jumped form the higher roofs and landed behind me.

''I wouldn't really say acting like an assassin is the way to congratulate the
other winners Kito.'' I tell him with a smile as I turn around to face him.

He grins back at me, ''Only to test if your mind is focussed, wouldn't want you
slacking or stressed for the Tournament.''

''No need to be scared for me, but I appreciate your concern. Now tell me why
you exactly came and followed me all the way here''.

''I just came to congratulate you Ecith, hopefully we can work together again
like we did in school.'' He says softly. I roll my eyes in responce. ''Yeah,
like we did in school before or after you dumped me because I wasn't
'powerfull' enough in your eyes? I'll see you in the Tournament Kito'' I say
while I turn around and start walking away from him. Jazo gives me a little por
in my side and smiles at me.

''Show me what you got then Ecith, if you're so powerfull now!'' I hear Kito
say in my head and before I could respond I hear Jazo say: ''Espate'' and the
air around us froms a shield which blocks Kito his spell.
I turn around to look at him and grab my wand from my belt, ''Alright then come
get it.'' I say angrily.

''Salney'' I say as I swing my wand and aim it at Kito. A bright light beam
shoots from my wand towards him and rips through a part of the cloth around his
waist. ''Get out Kito, I'm not in de mood to duel you right now, go prepare
yourself for the Tournament.'' I say and turn around again, not sparing him another
second of my time.

I can hear that he decides to also just leave it when his footsteps are walking
the other way. Jazo silently starts laughing while walking alongside me. I
first look at him confused but then start laughing as well. ''Did you see the
look on his face after you basicly told him to f*ck off? That was pretty badass
Ecith.'' He says with that stupid grinn on his face.

When we get to my house he gives me a tight hug and then leaves by jumping
further on the rooftops untill he is out of my sight. I turn around towards my
window which is still open as always and climb into my house from there. I
close the window behind me and let myself fall down onto the bed. For a few
minutes I just stare at the ceiling above me, the fact that I won still has to
sink in, I still can't believe it. While I was lost in my thoughts I wasn't
focussed and didn't hear someone standing in front of my door. As soon as I
notice I sprint down the stairs and open the door. Elder Mizan is standing
right in front of me with a big smile, ''Can't lose your focus like that Ecith,
It's rude to let your Elders wait so long.''

I open de door further to show him that he can come in. ''Sorry Elder Mizan,
may I ask why you are here?'' I respond and set him and myself a cup of tea.
''I'm here to tell you that tomorrow morning we will be leaving for Oduldale,
so you got untill the sun comes up to pack your stuff and get ready.''

Me and the Elder talked for quite a bit more, he told me to pack loads of
bottles, possible spell books that I might need and all the scroll I have on
the magic from other families. Ever since he left I've been grabbing my stuff
from every corner of my house. My house looks like a mess, when I had
everything ready on the floor I grabbed my bag and laid that on the floor in
front of all the scrolls, books and other stuff. I grabbed my wand and swung it
in the air, tapped on the bag and said: ''Stipare''. All the stuff on my floor
started flying into the one bag and then closed. When that was done I realised
that I only had two hours left to sleep, shit.

At this point it hits me for the first time that I am actually gonna participate in the Tournament. I know that the chances of me winning are very small, but the fact that I got in is something to be proud of itself.

I walk up the steep stairs and walk into my brothers room. I grab his old wand, which he left for me to use. Besides his wand I hasty grab a few of his personal belongings and put them in a bag as well as the small potionbottles filled with his blood. I walk over to the cupboard in his room and read the names of the bottles in there. I grab one with the label "Bhonduc" and one that reads "Vathmodar" and put hang these around my belt. I grab a few candles, old books and a few more potionbottles which I'm not really sure what's in there. My eye falls onto a one of the smallest bottles I've ever seen, labbeled "Guthradan" and I wonder when my brother got this but take it with me anyway.

I walk back downstairs where the Elder is waiting for me. "Three minutes," is all she says when she sees me. I realise that I am already fucking things up while the competition hasn't even started yet. Being chaotic has always been a part of me, but right now I really wish I could just get my life together for once. I try to think about the ten different citys and the games that might get attached to them and that way I try to think about what I could use in these different rounds. Since the first round is already the extact opposite of the type of magic I used growing up, I have no single clue what to bring along besides my wand, spellbooks and bloodbottles.

I grab my coat and hat and look at Mananis. "I think I am ready."

"You think or you are?" She whispers and a shiver goes down my spine. She pointS to the desk in a dark corner of the room. "If I where you, I'd be taking that with me." Her voice steady but quiet.

I walk over to the desk and see an old sword, decorated with horns and the skull of Rayralen herself, the Sister of Death. A red glow appears when my shadow falls onto the sword. "How did this get here?" I whisper, afraid to wake up the Sleeping. Mananis doesn't answer me so I repeat the question. I can't get my eyes of the sword. Mananis stands up and walks over, next to me.

"That reddish glow you see, is called Semael." She speaks so quiet I can barely hear her. "The name 'Rayfalens venom' might mean more to you." And it does. I never believed it was real. "If you touch this sword with your bare hands, you will die. No matter how powerfull the spells from the Oldest Sister might be. She will pick you up immediatly."

"How did this get here?" I ask her again.

"You shouldn't doubt fate nor destination. Take it or leave it here. It is time to leave Rayfalen and head to Oduldale." Her big hat covers most of her face and I wish I could see what she was looking at.

I cover my hands with my coat and put the sword in an old sheath, although it barely fits. I hang it onto my belt but it feels so much heavier than an ordinary sword. I have no idea how the sword got here and I know for sure than my brother has nothing to do with this eventhough he was an extremely powerfull and wise wizard. I drop te coat on the floor and wear a different one and grab the two bags I filled with stuff I'd need in the competition and look at Mananis, who nods lightly. "I am ready."

"That's what I wanted to hear." She turns around and leaves my house and I follow her.

For at least an hour straight we walk and I follow her. She doesn't say a single word the entire walk and I don't dare to ask her any questions since she hasn't answered one the entire night. I wonder whether or not she had something to do with the sword being in my house and I wonder when I will meet my allies. I have so many questions but I decide to follow her in silence. When we get to the biggest city of Rayfalen, near the Mese, she finally says something again. "We will enter the Portal to Oduldale in a few minutes. Guards will ask you to take of your hat and look into the bright light of the Portal. Do as they say."

Before I can answer her, she turns back around and contiues to walk. The city is crowded, even this late at night and the sound of the waves capsizing somehow calms me down. I wonder if Oduldale has a sea, if the people are really as powerfull as every victor every said and who I'll have to compete with.

Two hours later I woke up by someone knocking on my door, a sound that you never
actually heard in Illemis. I quickly stood up from my bed and made my way down
the stairs. I walked over to the door and opened it, Elder Mizan was standing
behind the door with a smile. ''Try not to make a habit of letting people wait
in front of your door Ecith.'' I sighed and grabbed my bag from the coat rack.
''I'm sorry Elder Mizan, I'll try not to make a habit of it.'' He laughed
silently at my response.

''Here take this Ecith, a little gift.'' He said and held out a yellow with red
detailed coat. I grabbed the coat as well and swung it around my shoulders.
It's wasn't really a coat, it was more shaped like a cape with a hoodie. It was
a yellow colour at first glance, but in the moonlight it started glinstering
like gold, making me stand out. It also fit perfectly with the clothing I
normally wore, yellow was one of the colours I loved very much. I closed the
door behind me and walked next to Elder Mizan through the streets. The sun
didn't come up yet and the city was filled with fog. I loved the fog, it did
not make the city very scary, it just fit very well with the peace and silence
that we so love.

''We're heading to the portal, we need to be in Oduldale before the sun comes
up in Illemis.'' I nodded in response. ''Are we not going to pick-up the
other contestants from Illemis?'' ''No they will be picked-up by the other
Elders.''

We were almost at the east entrance of the city where the portal was located.
The whole city is located inbetween the mountains. The east entrance is also
where a river starts from the mountains, most travellers come into our city by
following the river. That's why the portal is located at the east side as well,
since that is the best protected entrance. The fog started to vanish and the
city slowly became more visible.

''I won't go through the portal with you Ecith, the other contestants and you
need to go through on your own. Elder Selos will be waiting for you and the
others in Oduldale. He will guide you guys to the main castle where you will be
staying in the Illemis wing.'' He told me.

''But Elder Misan, what do you mean by Illemis wing? I've never been in
Oduldale.'' I said confused, is that castle so big that every city has their
own wing? ''Elder Selos will explain all of that to you, so there is no need to
worry about that now. Also we're here, to get through the portal you need to
take off your cloak and let the light of the portal shine onto your skin. Your
skin will show that you are a family member of Illemis and the guards will let
go through the portal.'' He explains and I listen carefully to his words.

We get to the portal, it's shaped like a Paifang, and looks amazing. The red
pillars with the dark green coloured roof really make the white glinstering of
the portal stand out. Elder Misan gestures that I should join the other
contestants who are standing in a group with Elder Klazir. The three boys we're
already there, but the other girl was still missing, if I remember correctly
her name was Aria.

''Ohh there is Ecith, come here girl, join us!'' Elder Klazir says excitedly
when she sees me walking towards them. I give her a small smile and join the
group. Kito gives me a sour look when I join the group. I guess he still has a
stick up his ass from last night when I told him off. A few minutes later Aria
joined us too. She was dressed in red and her white hair was pinned up in a
knot. She looked a little uneasy since she didn't seem to know any of us, and
my guess was correct, she did grow up in the outskirts. ''Alright children,
it's time we go thorugh the portal. Ecith you're up first.'' Klazir says.

I nod in response and walk towards the white glinstering portal. I take my
cloak off and let the light of the portal shine onto my skin like Elder Mizan
told me. My skin starts to light up and the drawings of sound waves start to
show on my skin. It's like tattoo's show up on my skin. A guards walks towards
me and gestures that I can walk through the portal. I swing my cloak back
around my shoulders and slowly walk towards the portal. I take a deep breath
breath and walk through the portal. A tingling feeling spreads over my skin and
I just keep walking.

A warm feeling then submerges me and a bright light shines in my face. The sun
is high in the sky and shines right onto me. ''Oh there is the first one, hello
Ecith welcome to Oduldale!'' I hear a voice say when I open my eyes and the
gold city grabs my attention, this city looks amazing. I look up to the sky and
there is even buildings flying, I can't believe what I'm looking at, this is so
different from Illemis.

After several hours the sun starts to rise again. My legs hurt from the long walk but I try not to give in to the pain. The closer we get to the portal, the more it rises in front of us.  I have never seen the portal before, but I heared multiple stories about it - and they all live up to it. The portal is huge and kind of terrifying. When we finally arrive at the portal, I can see why it looked so terrifying from far way; the bones of the ribcage from a Plesiorax make up the outerlines of the portal and you can feel sort of a heavy presence around it.

Stories go that you can feel Fayralen Herself trying to stop you to leave Her city and I wonder if that is the presence I'm feeling. A shiver goes through me.

Mananis looks over to me and whispers: "The guards will check your marks before they will let you go in there. I can not go with you but another Elder will be waiting for you on the other side. He will show you around in Oduldale and let you meet your teammates."

"Thank you for all of this, I owe you," I tell her and glance over to the sword.

"Make your brother proud and don't let Kancis get into your head. You have what it takes to make our family proud," she answers and then turns around. I wonder how she knew about me and Kancis since I didn't tell her about it, but I decide to let it go - probably some Elder wisdome.

I walk near the portal, where the guards are standing steady. "Coat." Is all they say in union.

I take off my coat and look into the bright shining light that comes through the portal. It burns into my eyes but the moment I want to close them I see my skin is starting to shine. I stretch my arms and study them as my skeleton lights up from it. It's somewhat terrifying but also extremely pretty. "This is gorgeous," I whisper under my breath. I knew we had all been marked at birth so Tasina's family won't have a free pass through the portals, even though they're still getting through every now and then. Now the marks have kind of became our family-weapon.

"You can enter," one of the guards tell me. I look around once more; afraid I might never return. Afraid I might return as a loser. Then step into the portal. I can hear my potionbottles rinkle against my armor as I walk into the light and before I know I hear the sounds of a big, big city.

When I open my eyes a bright golden light blinds me for a second and it takes a short while to get used to it. Fayralen is known for its darkness, even at daytimes, so this bright light is new for me.

I step out of the portal and see the Elder that Mananis was talking about. I recognize him because of his dark and intimidating clothes, the dark horns on his head and the way he shakes my hand by sqeezing it just a little too hard.  "My name is Navid," he says loud and proud, "I will lead you here during your time in the Tournament. I will show you around in Oduldale and I will show you your wing of The Oduxilium, where you will spend your time while you're here."

I bend my head in respect and follow him as he turns around and walks into the city. I am amazed by the amount of gold that was used while building the city and the sunlight warms my skin in a way I have never experienced before. Navid shows me some old wizardstores, a famous park in which a battle between two Elders took place a long time ago, and some old monuments. "This was made after the first Tournament, when Lenathor won. Ever since, their ego won't stop rising." I amazes me that even the Elders that live in Oduldale have a slight hate for the other families. The monument is made in the colors of Lenathor, Family of the First Sister; white and gold, and it forms a statue of the Winner; the first to ever win the Tournament. The colors of the statue blend in with the rest of Oduldale and I wonder why their colors are so alike - probably because of Lenathors wealth.

We walk around for a bit more and just as I completely lose my sense of direction, Navid tells me we are near The Oduxilium. I am excited to see the building I've heared so much about. We walk into a few more streets and just as I think my feet might give up from all the walking I have done in the past 9 hours, I see the house. I do not think I have ever seen a building this big, bright and shining. It is bright white and shines because of all its gold. The shape of the building is outstanding itself but when seen how huge it is I am even more amazed. It's almost like a temple, but bigger. It's like a tower, with exactly ten triangles pointing out in a semetrical way, called Wings. Every family has its own Wing, and on top of every Wing thats a white and gold monument of the First Winner from that family. I recognise the monument Navid showed me earlier this day, the First Winner from Lenathor.

"This will be your home, for as long as you are in the Tournament," Navid tells me and it seeps through that he doesn't expect me to be in here for a long time. "I will show you The Odulxilium, your wing and your teammates, follow me."

He opens the big golden doors and walks into the building. I feel extremely small when I follow him inside. The big gates close behind us and I feel a bit trapped, but try not to show him. Even the inside is absolutely gorgeous; even the inside is decorated in gold and white details and it literally takes my breath away for a few seconds. I'm used to dark colors and a minimum of light, but this might be one of the prettiest things I have ever seen.

In the middle of the room stands a high, golden spiral stairs that go all the way to the highest top of The Odulxilium. Multiple paintings of ancient wizards decorate the big entrance hall and even the doors that lead to the families Wings are decorated in gold and white details.

"It looks like everything one can dream of and more," I whisper under breath and I see Navid smile from the corners of my eyes.

"Just wait until you see the lowest basement," he smiles back. "The Wing of Rayfalen is the south-south-east Wing, that one." He points to the Wing and then I notice the sublte details on the door of the Wing that represent our family; our portal-marks.

I recognize Elder Selos easily, he is wearing a green robe with gold accents on
the side covering his chest. His muscled arms are covered in gold bracelets and
bands. He is fully bald except for one braided ponytail at the back of his
head. I walk towards him and slightly nod my head, showing him my respect as
Elder. 'No need to be that formal with me Ecith, I'll be guiding you around
Oduldale after all', he tells me with a friendly smile. I nod in response and
we start walking away from the portal.

The city is beautiful, there is lots of gold and white. The buildings are tall
but the sun still manages to shine through them. The weather is also amazing,
there is no fog here and the sky is a pretty light blue with some white clouds.
As we walk through the streets I carefully observe the people around us.
There's women walking in big fancy dresses, but also people in iron and steel
armour. They're usually grouped with people from their own family, but they do
walk among each other in peace here in Oduldale. After walking through some
streets we get to a big open park with trees and a white fountain in the
middle.

'This is where the people from Illemis come to meet, because as soon as you
walk into the park you can't hear the noises from the city anymore, only the
birds, the streaming water from the fountain and the wind blowing through the
leaves of the trees.' Selos tells me as we walk around the park, not going
inside of it. 'Do people from the other families also go into the park?' I ask
him when I see a man in a big black cloack, with a hood covering his face and a
scythe walk into the park.
'Oh yes, everyone is welcome to go where they please in Oduldale, but people
mostly only hang around with other people from their family, even though the
city seems very peaceful. The hatred for the other families is still very
present ofcourse.' He explains to me.

We continue walking through the enormous city for a while, I just love hearing
the sounds. I can hear the animals running on the roofs, the blacksmiths
hammering the steels in their buildings and the tea being served at the little
restaurants. It's a lot to take in, the city is very different from Illemis
after all. As I silently walk among these people I even like to listen to their
'silent' conversations. I do not understand all languages though. At this point
I only speak the language of Illemis, Elleshall and Oduldale. We we're forced
to learn the language of our own family and Oduldale when we we're younger. The
language of Oduldale is the one we speak when we speak to other families than
our own, a world-wide universal language. When I was younger I loved to learn
new languages and decided to also teach myself the language of Elleshall, from
the eight sister. It was a perfect combination of two things I loved very much,
languages and nature.

'We're now heading to The Odulxilium, where you will be staying for as
long as you will be in the tournament.' Selos tells me as we start heading a
different direction.
As soon as The Odulxilium comes into view I am lost for words. The
building is magnificent, it's white with gold. There is ten triangles
pointing in different directions away from the main part of the builing. And on
every triangle stands a huge statue looking away over the city. 'Every statue
you see was the first winner of the tournament for each family, as you can see
on our Wing stands Pafier which you ofcourse have heard many stories about.'
Selos says and he puts his hand on my shoulder. Pafier was twenty when he won
the tournament for Illemis, ofcourse this was decades ago and things were now
different than they were back then, but his triumph still stands tall for the
Illemis family.

Two guards over the big golden doors for us and let us into
the Odulxilium. We walk into a big round room with a eye catching, golden,
spiral staircase in the middle. There are then more doors in this hall, all
heading towards their own Wing. The doors are detailed in the marks of the
different families. I can already see the door heading towards the Wing of
Illemis, covered in golden soundwaves. There is a few other poeple in the hall
as well. I can recognize two from Elleshall, I think there is one girl and a
guy from Fayralen, but one of them might be an Elder, I'm not sure. There is an
obvious group of four people from Xesther standing in their massive armour.
That's when I also notice Aria leaning against the wall on the side of the
hall.

I make my way towards her and give her a smile. 'Hey! I didn't notice you for a
second, what are we all waiting for here?' I ask her in her head and she turns
towards me. Her red clothes do really stand out against the white walls, I
can't believe I didn't notice her at first. 'Hey you're Ecith right?', she asks
and I nod in response. 'We're waiting here to gather all the
other contestants Elder Faron told me, he brought me here and went back to
the portal in a rush, said something went wrong with Kito I believe?' She says
with a sligth confusion in her voice.

'Oh that's weird, I hope everything is alright, even though Kito kind
of despises me.' I answer and roll my eyes at the last part. She gives me
a smile. 'I don't know him at all, but for the time I've been her I've already
started to despise them.' She says and slightly gestures towards the group of
Xester who are being very loud. They're slapping each others shields and armour
making a loud metal noise go through the hall every time.

'Yeah they're obnoxious, so loud. Should I scare one of them a bit?' I ask
her with a grin. And she grins right back at me, I guess we had the same idea
already.

As one of the guys from Xester starts laughing really loudly and banging on his
friends armour I slightly turn towards him. Ofcourse I'm still like 30 metres
away form him since this hall is massive. I lock my eyes on him and whisper
into his head: 'Can you stop screaming, it's obnoxious.' in the language of
Oduldale and turn back to face Aria. She starts laughing silently, 'He is
freaking out, I think he thinks he's getting haunted by some angry ghost.' She
laughs and I see the guy look confused around him. 'Well he is less loud.' I
say while grinning.

As we we're waiting more and more people slowly started walking into the
entrance hall, I also noticed Kito and the other contestantes walk in as well,
but they didn't notice me and Aria. After quite some time a older man clearly
from Vriasia starts walking up the stairs. 'Welcome everyone, I hope you enjoy
Oduldale for as long as you will stay here, for some it the stay migth ofcourse
be shorter than for others.' He says with a grin. I roll my eyes and lean
against the wall behind me. 'Before the introduction tonight we will all eat
together on the 3rd floor, you can get there by going up this staircase or any
other special way you might think of.'

And with that the doors opened. Me and Aria walked into our Wing and we looked
around. The rooms were assigned by name. They made the wing to look like our
homes in Illemis. My rooms also looked very pretty and homely.  I decided
to just chill in the living room and sit in the window, looking over
Oduldale.

Suddenly the sounds of a soft clock going off, I guess it's time to head
towards the eating room.  If I remember correctly the elder said you
didn't have to use the stairs, which gave me and Aria a very good idea. I left
my cloak in my room and opened the window. I pulled myself up on the window bar
and jumped onto from the ledges onto the roof where me and Aria decided to meet
up. I waved at her and pointed towards the window that was open and on the
story where the dinner was going to be held.

'Saeran' I whispered and I felt the wind around me drag me up, making it easier
for me to parkour on the ledges to get up to the window. The curtains blew open
by the wind me and Aria took with us because of the spell. 'Well that was fun.'
I told Aria and she smiled in responce. It wasn't a super epic entrance, but it
sure wasn't as boring as walking up the golden staircase. We sat down at one of
the tables, guessing how other people would make an entrance.

The way my bones shined through my skin earlier this morning, those exact marks are carved into the door to Fayralens Wing. "It's so gorgeuos. All those details that make our family, it's breathtaking." I whisper.

The hallway becomes more and more crowded and several different families walk in. My eye falls onto a girl, she seems very young yet incredibly confident. "Who's that?" I whisper under my breath.

"That girl right there might surprise you with her strenght. She and her family have special powers are tend to get underrated. They might barely speak, but keep in mind that they know exactly what their other familymembers are thinking."

"They're from Illemis." I say, not really a asking, rather stating the obvious. Navid nods. I wonder what he ment by undermining their powers, what powerfull can whispering really do? But I make a note to myself to keep an eye on them, especially on her.

The hallway becomes more and more crowded and all of a sudden I am surrounded by different families, even families I have never met before. Three wizards from Zhairan stand next to me, wearing a potionbelt that kind of looks like mine, exept for the fact their potionbottles contain green and yellows brews and mine contain different types of blood. I can't believe that the Second Sister left a family with the simple gift of making potions, everyone could do that.  I grin to one of the male wizard, showing I am far from afraid of him.

Eventually Ehith Eganis, Fayralens most powerful wizard, joins Navid and I as we talk about the simmilarities and differences of Fayralen and Zhora. Ever since my youth I have looked up to Ehith and being able to call her my teammate now almost seems to good to be true. A few seconds later Ekey joins the three of us, followed by Kancis. I turn my back to him, not wanting to speak with him. I look around the room a bit more and notice a man from Xesther looking franctic around the room and then I notice the girl from Illemis is giggling with a familymember, both looking at the man from Xesther. I can't help but wonder what they did to him. Maybe Navid was right and am I indeed undermining their powers.

Zhora's team stands next to ours now a study them in silence. All of a sudden a girl, clearly from Zhora's team, looks over to me. "If you have a question there is no need to stare untill you got it figured out, you can just ask," she says to me as she raises her eyebrows.

I sigh, hoping anyone from my team sees that this rip-off-Fayralen is talking to me. "Yeah just one.. How does to feel to be the mimic of Fayralen?" I reply in the same steady tone she talked to me. I scan her outfit with my eyes, knowing this will piss her of even more. "Must be bad that no matter what you new spell you learn-"

Just as I want to finish my sentence an Elder from Vriasia walks into the room and everyone goes quiet. He walks up the stairs so he has a clear view of all of us and then he starts talking:  "Welcome everyone, I hope you enjoy Oduldale for as long as you will stay here, for some it the stay migth ofcourse be shorter than for others. Before the introduction tonight we will all eat together on the 3rd floor, you can get there by going up this staircase or any other special way you might think of." As he says this I realise I haven't eaten in a long time. At that moment all the doors that lead to the ten wings open at the same time and we get our first glance into our wings. Everyone starts walking to their Wing and a few seconds later, I do the same.

As I walk into Fayralens Wing, my breath - for the third time this morning - is taken away. Our Wing looks like it's directly made it Fayralen, the darkness, the wooden floor and walls and even the constant vapor.. It even smells like Fayralen and I think it is just now, now I'm away from Fayralen, that I realise how much love I have for our family and our city.

"It's magical, isn't it?" Kancis says as he walks into our Wing. I ignore him and walk into the room that was assigned to me. I start unpacking all my stuff, I put the books I brought neatly on the bedroom counter and undo the potionbottles from my belt. I stock them into a chest of drawers, made for bloodbottles, but place the ones that hold my brothers blood behind a loose shelf of my wardrobe. No matter what happens, I have to keep those safe. I place the Sword of Fayralen under my bed, knowing that if it would be in sight of Kancis, he'd take it.

A few seconds later Ehith knocks on my door. "Are you ready?" she asks and I nod. I am hungry and goddamn tired. I wish we had gotten the time to take a nap first, but I realise the journey wasn't this long for most of the others. I follow Ehith outside of our Wing, taking the stairs. "I don't like to show off my powers like these guys do," she says as we see all five wizards from Zhairan literally floating through the spiral, golden staircase. "They're just flies, that's what they are," she whispers and I can't help but grin.

As I walk behind Ehith up the stairs, I can see she took her sword to the openingsdinner but I don't dare to ask if that's even allowed or why she did that. Maybe I was stupid for leaving my weapons downstairs but maybe she is stupid for bringing hers. As we walk up a few more stairs we arrive at the dining hall. A lot of the families had already to a seat of the multiple large and here again I am amazed by the details in the big hall. There are golden frames aroud historic paintings, candeliers made out of gold and white and floating plates of all sorts of foods. My eye falls onto team from Zhora, they are looking paniced around the room and at first I don't really know what they are looking at. I glance around the room to see what they are looking at but then I realise it...

There are 5  tables... And we have 10 families.

We will have to spend our dinner sitting next to some of or worst enemies.

"I am not sure I can do this," I say a bit paniced to Ehith, looking around the room for a free table, which I not available anymore.

"Don't show them your fears. You are better than this, better than them." A second later the rest of our team joins us and we all decide to sit on the table where three wizards from Xhester sits and a random wizard from Tasina. We sit down without saying a single word and I try to get comfortable sitting next to the wizard from Tasina but I can't help but feel deeply uncomfortable.

"I- I am s-sorry," the lost wizards says to me, "My t-team wanted.. wanted to sit here," he stutters.
"I don't see them here, do you?" I say shortly and look around the room.

"If you don't even have a city, why claim a table?" Kancis fires back to the lonely wizard.

His eyes start to tear up and I can't help but grin as he stands up and starts looking for his teammembers. "Yeah, do what you do best, looking for a place to live!" Yells Ekey, the oldest of our team.

From the corner of my eye I see the girl Navid was talking about, the girl from Illemis but she seems comfortable in all of this. Their family isn't talking at all, they are just examining the rest of the families.

Me and Aria just sit at the table silently, mostly just looking around and ofcourse listening to all the different
conversations going on. There are only five tables in this dining hall, and
every table has 10 chairs. Which means that a minimum of two families have to
share a table, which is horrible ofcourse I don't want to sit next to some
stuck up girls from Lenathor. This whole table management is already very
entertaining, I'm just listening to all the different converstaions going
on,  I sadly don't understand every language. Five people from Fayralen
grab my attention when they all sit down at a table which is already holding
two other family members.

"I- I am s-sorry," my t-team wanted.. wanted to sit here," I can
hear the wizard from Tasina tell the group of Fayralen in the language of
Oduldale. I grin a bit, this boy is not going to survive a minute in the
tournament. The family member of Fayralen scare him away and he quickly seeks
refuge by running to two other members of his family.

Kito, Azall and Thowh decide to join me and Aria at the table, which means our
table has five empty seats left, this might become fun. The other people from
Xester will ofcourse join their family so that makes a table of Xester and
Fayralen. Five people from Lenathor are sharing a table with five people from
Zhora, well isntead that almost polar opposites. No one at that table is
speaking, if eyes could kill everyone at that table would be dead.

The table next to me is even more fun to listen too, ofcourse since I speak
their language. Four people from Elleshall sare sharing a table with three
people form Tasina and two people from Zhairan. One of the poeple from Tasina
is that guy that got scared away by the people from Fayralen, he is just
silently eating his food now. The people from Elleshall are talking about how
one of their family members did not want to join this dinner, which makes me
very curious. They are speaking in their own language, which won't hold me back
from eavesdropping ofcourse, since I can clearly understand them. Apperantly
the guy won't be coming because he doesn't want to be revealing his powers. I
can't wait to see that guy at the introduction tonight then.

Most family members seems to just ignore everyone but their own family and only
speak their own language, how boring. I wish a little more action would happen.
After a while the five empty seats at our table got taken by five family member
from Vriasia. 'I'm so glad people form Vriasia decided to join us and not those
loud people from Xesther or Zhairan.' I tell Aria and she nods back at me,
fully agreeing. The rest of the dinner was quite boring, there we're some
little fights between different families but nothing too exciting. I did get a
lot of insights on the different people in the tournament, most of them are
filled with pride which might ofcourse be a facade.

The dinner hall slowly started to become more and more empty when different
families decided to leave. Me and Aria we're just talking to each other in
silence about the different people we saw and conversations we overheard. For
other people it might seems like we're just staring at each other and sometimes
grinning. But ofcourse they don't know which converstaion we're having because
they can't hear it at all. After a while we also decide to leave the dining
hall and this time use the golden staircase to head back to our wing. I have to
say that the Odulxilium is very pretty even from the inside, but it's not
really my preferred style of interior. As we walk down the staircase we pass a
three people from Vizrabel who are going back up the stairs. Fashionably late I
guess?

I get back to my room and decide to change clothes for the introduction this
evening. I change into a mainly black cloth with red and gold details. Normally
I wouldn't wear this because the colour are a little too dark for my taste, but
these colours are very formal for our family. The yellow and red are more
training or all-day wear for our family. I hang around with Azall and Thowh in
the living area when Elder Selos walks in. 'Time to go' He tells all of us and
we walk behind him out to the stadium.

The introdcution will be held in the stadium in Oduldale, where they normally
hold wizarding duels. Selos tells us that one of us will hold the banner with
the sign of Illemis. When they call out our family name we are supposed to walk
into the stadium as a group. They call out our names individually, we are
supposed to wave or bow down. The when all our names have been called we walk
out of the stadium again and then the next family will be called.

The families are being called form oldest sister to youngest, with Lenathor
being the first and Tasina being the last. Patiently we are waiting for our
call, when we Xesther being called a man walks in and guides us to a big
hallway, which must lead into the stadium. 'Wait for your call and then walk
straight down this hallway. When you've all been called you keep walking
straight and go through the doors at the other end of the stadium.' The man
tells us while he points down the big hallway. Kito is holding the banner for
Illemis and he will walk in the middle when it's our turn.

''And now the contestants from the Illemis family!'' The announcer says,
but there is no applause or screaming like with other families. Ofcourse only
your own family will cheer for you, it's not like people form Lenathor would
clap for us. To respect us, our family stays silent. They are cheering for us
internally but to other families it seems like we are not even celebrating.

We start walking through the hallway, into the light. The stadium is full of
people, there is more than you could even imagine. Only the richest people from
all families can live in Oduldale, and then again who would want to live here?
No one right, imagine needing to be around the other families all day, that
would be horrible. We walk to the middle of the stadium. This place is so big,
I am lost for worlds. The sun shines beautifully on us, making us the center of
attention in this introduction.

''First up from Illemis is Thowh Ecca Mezaam!'' The announcer says, but
the crowd stays completly silent while Thowh silently bows down and then looks
up again at the crowd. Then my name is called: ''Ecith Ane Desari'', I freeze
up a bit but then regain myself again when I hear my family cheering for me in
my head. A smile comes onto my face, they're with me even though people can't
hear it. I bow down and then look back up again at the people. After the rest
their names are also called we leave the stadium, and it feels like I can
finally breathe again.

Without a doubt I claim this to be the worst diner ever. The other wizards from Xhester join their family and we are now sharing a table with the entirety of Xhesters team. Their armor sounds loud and I can't help but wonder how they could ever sneak upon a pray without scaring it away first with all their noise. To my frustration, and probably everyones, I notice they don't only walk and talk loudy, but they eat just as loud. I never knew people were even capable of making this much noise while some chicken. I hear a guy from Elleshal whimper about all the murdered animals that the rest of us is eating and even the rest of his team seems a bit uncomfortable with his behavior.

After I shoved some of the food down my throat, I leave before the others of my team do. I am deeply afraid that every diner will be like this from now on and I am even more afraid that my last diner might be shared with someone from a different family but I try to let go of that thought.

When I get into our Wing, I look around for a bit. The way Fayralen is recreated in this part of the building is absolutely mindblowing and I feel so at home here. Navid told me to try to look intimidating during the Introduction, so that's exactly what I will try. I lock myself into my own room and look for two pieces of rope, that I wrap around my horns a bit. I change into a long dark dress, with zilver and red details on it and attach a nightblack cape that hangs on only one shoulder. I stick my hair high up my head and look into the mirror. It does look intimidating, but not enough for my taste. I grab one of my bloodpotionbottles that I stalled into the drawer and open it. I smear some of the blood, labbled "Vathmodar", on my cheeks and a bit on my forehead, creating sort of a pattern. This might do. I think about the way Ehith brought her sword to dinner, I have no idea if that's actually allowed but if she can bring a sword, than so can I. I grab Fayrales Sword from under my bed and  click it onto the back of the dress. When I look back into the mirror, I see a version of myself that I want to show the rest of the world. And just to be sure nothing will happen, I shove a small knife into one of the sleeves of my dress. You'll never know when it might come in hand with all these different families wandering around.

Waiting in line for the Introduction feels like hours. I can hear everything that's going on inside the stadium, which makes my heart pound in my throat. I can hear the other familys yelling and clapping for their team. Just as Xhester gets announced, I find the rest of my team, including Kancis. "You look.. hot," he says and scans me with his eyes. "Say that one more time and you are dead, Kancis," I directly fire back at him while stepping forward to him and looking him deep into his eyes.

"Woah, woah," Ehith interrupts us, "You still have to work together as a team.. As a family."

"He is no part of my family," I tell her doubtlessly and she holds her breath. She looks shocked between me and Kancis and I can even hear Kancis heart skip a beat. He knows, just as good as I do, that was the worst insult imaginable. And I hope he feels it.

"At least safe it for the Tournament," Ekey breaks the silence. It is in that moment I notice the way he dressed up, smeared his face in with blood, just like I did. He is the oldest of our team so I decide to not fire back at him. I really want to keep Ekey a friend, knowing he is powerfull, knowing we might team up near the end.

When Illemis gets announced, the loud yelling and clapping dies. Everyone notices the silence and I wonder if their family even attented the Introduction. Are they really admiring silence over their own family? What a teamspirit.

When Illemis leaves, it is our time. First Ekey gets called up, the oldest. He also holds or banner, which, unlike the other families, doesn't represent the name of our Sister. No, ours represents her skull. Everyone on the tribune looks disgusted, but Fayralen loves it. They stand up from their chairs and throw their fists into the air, screaming on the top of their lungs.

Next up is Asim Udell Sheneth, a dear friend of Kancis, and thereby an ememy of mine. After Asim, is Kancis himself and I feel a bit disgusted as our family bawls for him, knowing they all hated him back when he worked in the Dole. After Kancis is Ehith, and after that they call my name. I stuck the knife in my sleeve a bit further back, making sure it won't just fall out as  I walk and walk into the stadium. Chin up high, eyes forward. And I cannot believe the sounds they are making when they notice the sword on my back; Fayrales Sword. The Sword She ended Her life with Herself, so She could bring Herself back from the death. She was the only wizard do ever do something as powerful as She did, but not many believe it is actually true. Although, those who have seen Her in the lake know better.

The five of us line up and we bow our heads in union. After that, we leave the stadium and wave our family goodbye for now.

As we walk back, the team of Zhora is waiting for their accouncement. The girl that spoke to me earlier this day scans me up and down, just like she did before dinner. She wears a big gray dress but nothing too impresive. "Sick make up, luckily I don't have to kill my own familymember in order to look like that," she says, trying to come off as smart although she just proved to be incredibly dumb. "Yeah, cute dress, I really think you're gonna win the Tournament by looking cute," I say back to her, knowing she was to look anything but cute.

After that short but terrible conversation we immediatly leave the stadium and head back to our Wing. Their I take a quick a shower and hide in my own bedroom. I have no idea what tomorrow will bring, but for some reason I am thinking more about what to do with Kancis than with any other enemy right now.
Just as I dip into sleep, Ekey knocks on my door. "Yeah?" I ask. He opens the door and walks inside. "Did I wake you up?" He whispers.

"No. What is wrong?" I ask and he sits on the edge of my bed.

"I was wondering," he starts, "We would both have a huge adventage in teaming up."

"We are already on the same team, there is nothing to 'team up' about." I tell him, and want to lie down again, but he speaks.

"You know damn well what I am talking about. Right now, you and Kancis are not exactly good friends. And you know just as good as I do that only one wizard will win this Tournament. And I'd rather see you there instead of Kancis." Ofcourse I know what he is talking about, but making teams inside of your team might be dangerous since the rest of the team might turn their back on you when you do. "If it is between me and Ehith, you know I will lose. So I'd say we team up, make it till the few final rounds at least together."

I am very carefull with my words right now, knowing that the wrongs ones migth cost me my life. "And what if we are both still alive by then?"

"We'll worry about that when time is there." Is all he says. He looks like he serious.

"Fine. We'll worry about that when time is there."

Ekey grabs the knife I layed on the small nightstand, and he cuts open his handpalm. After that, he gives me the knife and I do the same and we shake our bleeding hands.

A Fayralens promise.

After the introduction we went back to our wingin the Odulxilium. I decided to check out the balcony together with Thowh.
We have a beautiful view of Oduldale and we can also slightly peek at the other
wings. I haven't really paid any attention to which families are next to
us.

''That golden cloak you're wearing, who gave that to you?'' Thowh asks me while
we look over the dark city being lit up by the moonlight. ''Elder Misan'', I
answer softly ''What about it?'' I ask him back.

''It's a luath cloak, there's a total of 10 of them, they are normally
transparent but change colour depending on the wearer. I've read about them,
their power is unknown since it varies on the wearer. I read about decades ago
a girl in Elleshall owned one, her became a dark blue and she discovered it
made her able to breath underwater.''

I looked at him with disbelieve, how could Elder Misan gift me something so
powerfull? ''I'm curious what power it gives me then.'' I say while I softly
touch the cloak. It was already yellow when Elder Misan gave me the cloak, but
when I put it on a slight shade of gold came over it. Could it be that Elder
Misan knows what power it might give me? I should ask him when I get back to
Illemis.

Then the door of the balcony opens and Kito walks onto the balcony. He sits
down on the railing with us, I still have a slight hate against him, but we are
family after all, I should be more forgiving. We just sit in silence for a few
minutes, listening to the sounds of the city.

''Where are you guys going tomorrow on the free day?'' Kito asks after a while.
I look at him and shrug, ''At dinner we will hear what the first round of the
tournament will be, ofcourse we know that it will be in Lenathor. I think I
might visit Lenathor to maybe find clues for the first round, since we are
contestants in the tournament we are allowed to visit every city on our free
days. I'm ofcourse going to make use of that'' I tell him. I see Thowh and Kito
both nod in agreement. ''I had the same plan, I'm not too scared for te first
round, Lenathor's magic focusses on life, so the first round will probably have
something to do with that. Would you guys like to go as a group?'' Kito
asks.

''I think that going as a group might be smartest, we will see more things that
way and be able to help each other, so yes I'll go with you'' Thowh says to
Kito and looks at me waiting for my answer.

''Yes, let's go as a group, we should ask Aria and Azall as well, I'll ask
them'' I say and hop down from the balcony railing. After I found Aria and
Azall they also agreed that we should go as a group to Lenathor and have a look
around. Later after that I went back to my room and walked to my bookshelf that
I set up, with my books and scrolls. I picked a light blue with white book from
the shelf: 'Water healing' it said on the side. Water healing is a uncommenly
used magic technique from Elleshall, but it's one that I have always focussed
on. I was never interested in Lenathor's commenly used light healing magic,
because I saw no use in that. With the water healing magic I could save the
animals in Illemis and help the plants grow.

The magic is more ore less a combination of Elleshall and Lenathor, it has the
healing magic from Lenathor, but the water manipulation magic from Elleshall. I
opened the book and began to read through it while clamly laying in bed.

The next morning I got up early and got ready to travel to Lenathor. Me and
Aria first went to the third floor for some breakfast. There weren't many other
contestants up as early as we we're. One person that stood out to me was the
guy from Elleshall who didn't come to the dinner, but now after the
introduction he suddenly does want to come here. His antlers are a dark brown
and his wand is almost like a stick, I've read about that, they're wands keep
growning as they become older, that's why the elders walk with a big walking
stick, but it's actually their wand.

The food on the table is actually delicious and also infinte. You can grab as
much food from a bowl and the bowl will never be empty. As we eat the dining
room becomes more busy, the sun is now fully up and I'm guessing it's around 11
am, at 8pm we will have dinner again, which means we have around 8/9 hours to
explore Lenathor. ''Shall we go?'' I ask the group and they all nod and stand
up from the table. There's a few people for Zhairan at one table we pass and
then also people from Fayralen. I notice one girl staring at me as I walk past
their table, I stare straight back at her and grin which makes her turn her
head away. As I walk down the stairs I look at her one more time and whisper
into her head: ''Staring is rude, don't you know?'' and then walk further down
the stairs. It's kind of sad I couldn't see her reaction, but I think I got my
point across.

We walk through Oduldale as a group, people from our own family who we pass on
the streets slighty bow at us or give us a proud nod. All the other families
just stare us down or act as if we don't excist. We get to the portal of
Lenathor and have to show our skin again, making our tattoo's glow. Apperantly
Kito his tattoo's only show from his neck down and not on his face, that's why
he had problems to get through the portal the first time. The guards thought he
might've been from Tasina instead of Illemis and then he wasn't allowed to go
through.

The guards let us all through and we walk through the portal into Lenathor.
It's even brighter than Oduldale. The city is fully white and just bright to
look at. There is pillars everywhere holding up paths. The guards of Lenathor
greet us with a little bow and let us continue into the city. We have to be
careful ofcourse, we know that the family ofcourse doesn't want us here.
Especially Lenathor is very difficult about that, they're filled with pride,
always have their heads up high and don't let anyone talk down on them.

Luckily for us the people just seem to act like we don't excist as we walk
through the enormous city. They hate us being here, but can accept it this once
for the tournament. People from Lenathor have a bigger hatred for the families
from Fayralen en Zhora than for us, since their magic is basicly polar
opposites.

We walk through the city and it's honestly breathtaking. The people walk in
very white, flowy dresses, always floating in the wind. the city is just super
clean, plants don't grow anywhere but in pots and there is no dirt anywhere. We
walk alongside a river that flows through the city, there is a bridge leading
to a big building with a angle statue in front of it. Would that be Lenathor or
someone else? The angle is holding a bowl with water in her hand and the water
from the bowl streams down into the river. ''What would that building be?'' I
ask the group and walk towards the bridge. ''Maybe the palace?'' Says Thowh.

We walk onto the bridge but as soon as we do guards come running towards us. ''Hey
you guys, you're not allowed to go into the hospital, go back into the city!''
A guard says while he walks towards us. ''Oh sorry sir we didn't know.'' Says
Kito and we all nod while we turn back again an walk off of the bridge. ''A
hospital, isn't this the city of life, then what is a hospital doing here when
people can heal themselves?'' Kito says questionably. I

look back once more time towards the building and see two children running
around by the doorway, I focus on their faces and then I see it. ''Cursed
children.'' I say and stop walking. They all stop as well and look back at the
hospital. ''They're trying to cure the cursed children.'' Thowh says in
disbelieve, ''No one has ever been able to do that, this must be an impossible
task. I hope this doesn't have anything to do with the first round tomorrow.''
He says and we all nod, curing cursed children is impossible, why would they
even try it?

I sleep longer than I intented and wake up when the sunlight hits my face. I look at my face in the mirror and see the dark circles under my eyes and the dried out blood on my cheeks. I am tired and nervous for what's coming tomorrow.

I walk over to where I hid the bloodpotions from my brother and silently pray to the Sister he is still alive. I know that right now it might be more usefull for me if he isn't and eventhough I'm a true Fayralen by heart, I can not with good consious hope for my brother to be dead.

Ekey knocks on my door and asks me to join him for breakfast. In our Wing we stumble upon Kancis and he follows us without saying a word. All of a sudden I am afraid he will notice the wounds in both of our handpalms.

At breakfast we sit next to the entire team of Lenathor and I can barely eat my breakfast. I notice Ekey and Kancis have a hard time eating as well. A woman from Lenathor talks about how she is excited to see her family and city again and how much she misses them already, and I can't help but drop my spoon back into my drink. "You've been gone for a day," I comment. I hear Ekey grin next to me. "Imagine not being surrounded by the bright fucking lights and white, marble streets for a day," he joins me, "Must be exhausting." "Spoiled fucks," I tell Ekey loud enough for the entirety of Lenathor hear. They stand up and walk away without saying a word back.

The rest of Rayralen joins us right as Lenathor walks away. "Good job doing that," says Ehith as she points to the team walking away. "Guess it's in our blood," Ekey laughs. It's weird seeing them laugh at eachother like that, knowing Ekey is actually deadly afraid of her.

The girl from Illemis catches my attention once again and I can't help but look over to her. I wonder about the strengths of her powers. I never really paid attention to Illemis, actually I never really paid much attention to any of the other City's. As she walks away I follow her with my eyes and all of a sudden I think I am going crazy. "Staring is rude, don't you know?" I hear her voice loud and clear in my head. What the fuck. How does she have acsess into my head? She was in my fucking head. How do I block her out? I try to hide my fear for everyone, Navid was right, there is much more to this girl then the eyes can see.

After breakfast most people go back to their Wing, but Ekey invided me for a walk outside the building, so I join him. The sun hits our face and it's one the most uncomfortable things I have felt in a long time. Our skin isn't made for warmth.

"Can we talk?" I ask him as we walk towards the shadow. "That girl, from Illemis... I never really knew what their powers are, I mean, I know they do with their voice and are creepily quiet.. But I never, like.. Knew." I try to keep my thoughts straight but realise that they come out as a rant.

Ekey looks over to me, his eyes asking me what I mean.

"She.. She talked. Like, in my head. I could here. She clearly spoke to me and I don't know if she could here me as well or if she can only speak or if I can speak back to her or.. or.."

He says calm and listens. "Or what?" He asks.

"I don't know how to block her out... Or whether that's even possible."

"That's insane.." This is the first time he shows me he is slightly paniced. "Although it would make sense." My confusion makes him talk more. "Think about it, barely anyone knows their language because they barely speak. Why would they barely speak? Because they communicate without words. I used to think they used a sort of signlanguage to hide what they're talking about, but this.. I think they speak to eachother in their heads."

I look at him, lost for words. "But how comes barely anyone knows their powers?"

He looks at me as if I'm dumb. "Because they don't talk about it."

"So, you're saying we discovered one of their most used powers?" I ask him. He nods in silence. Right at that moment Asim walks over to us, so we stop the conversation. Ekey could be right, it would explain why they barely speak. But then again, what great things can you do with a power like that? Talk to someone from a different family? I wonder why anyone would vollunteerily want that. For the first time since the Tournament, I wish I did more research on the powers of other families instead of focussing all on my own.

Our entire team gets together in the livingroom to discuss what we're doing today. Most of the teams here have a true teambonding, but for us not so much. We came in the Tournament fully aware only one wizard is gonna win this, we just wanna help eachother for our own good. Guess that's just the way Fayralens are. But this get together and discussing what we're gonna do today feels like a true teamspirit. We decide not to go to Lenathor, knowing the people there hate our guts and will eat us alive. We talk about our strategies and how we are the extreme opposited of eachother. We might be able to use that in our advantage.

By the time we are done talking, we head back to the dining hall but Kancis holds me still before I have the chance to leave our wing. "I know we don't really talk right now,-" "That's right, we don't." I tell him and try to walk away but he pins me against the wall and looks at me.

"There is only one moment after this that we are gonna talk," I hiss through my teeth, in his face, "and that's when you are gasping for air, on the edge of your deathbed. I will walk over to you just to make sure you are aware of the fact that on one is gonna miss you when you are gone. And when you're dead, I will make sure that all of your blood gets wasted so no one will ever be able to see you again."

"All of this just because I didn't tell you about the Tournament?" He asks.

"You think this is about you entering the Tournament?" I feel the knife in my belt screaming to grab it. "You send my brother of to die."

And with these words I leave of to the dining hall. Ready to hear what the very first round of the Tournament is gonna be.

The table where Ekey sits is filled with Zhairan and Xhester so I decide to sit with a mixed table with some Tasina, Zhora and Illemis. Not exactly my greatest friends either, but at least here is a spot for me. I hate the whole table-thing.

I can feel the eyes of the girl from Illemis burn in my back and the Fayralen inside of me wants to say something mean to her, like she did to me, earlier this morning, but I change my mind. If she can talk in my head, God knows what else she can do. Maybe she is listening to my thoughts right now.

All of a sudden the light in the room gets brighter and a Lenathor Elder walks down the stairs, to the front of the room and stands on some sort of platform they placed for these particulair announcements. The mood in the room changed around completely the moment she entered the hall. She looks old but somehow still smiling. Most of all.. She looks so proud.

"Welcome," she speaks at a soft and slow tone but loud enough for the entire dininghall to hear her clear. We all listen very close. "To the very first announcement of your very first game in this Tournement. Brought to you by the Very First and Greatest Sister and one of her earlierst Elders." The dininghall gets filled with murmers as the Elder claim Lenathor to be the 'the greatest Sister' and I can't help but to throw in a "She was a fucking snake!" as well.

The Elder waits until the room gets quiet again and continues her speach: "The Sister of Light and Life has tried her entirety to keep Death on a distance. And she has succeeded in many, many ways. Tomorrow you will be challanged to do the exact same. Each of you will be teaming up with a true but sick or wounded Lenathor and you will do everything in your power to safe that persons life. If you fail and your partner fades away.. You will have to leave the Tournament and will be a shame for your family."

I gasp for air when the realisation hits I will have to team up with a bloodsucking Lenathor. But then I see the Elder looking over to the table in the front, filled with Lenathor and she takes my breath a second time when I can hear her whisper: "Show them what it means to be a real Lenathor, make her proud."

After hearing what the first round of the Tournament will be I feel relieved, but
also scared. This Elder of Lenathor spoke about healing and that we will get
teamed up with a real citizen of Lenathor. Her exact worde spoke: ''The Sister
of Light and Life has tried her entirety to keep Death on a distance. And she
has succeeded in many, many ways. Tomorrow you will be challanged to do the
exact same. Each of you will be teaming up with a true but sick or wounded
Lenathor and you will do everything in your power to safe that persons life. If
you fail and your partner fades away.. You will have to leave the Tournament
and will be a shame for your family."

I went back to our wing in the Odulxilium and gathered my books about
healing, specifically the the book about water healing, a technique from
Elleshall. I swung my Luath cloack around my shoulder and walked out of my
room. Thowh was sitting in the living room, books all around him on the
ground.
''You seem paniced,'' I say when he frustratingly practices the magic spells he
reads in the books.
''Just trying new healing spells, what are you up to?'' he asks me and turns
around to look at me.
''I'm heading towards the library on the third floor, going to see if there are
more books about the water healing technique ive been using for years, it might
help out tomorrow.'' I say and he just nods in response.

I turn around to walk away and he still tells me in my head: ''Make sure no one
tries to copy ur technique, it's a very unique type of healing that not many
people know of because Lenathors light healing really outshines it.'' I just
nod and head out into the main part of the Odulxilium. I head up to the third
floor where I find multiple other participents with books around them on the
floor, reading and preparing for tomorrow's first round.

I can hear the people flipping furiously throught the books, looking for spells
they have never learnt or even looked at before, they are foolish for only
learning their own type of magic. I get my wand out and whisper ''Ellefly'', a
little blue shining firelfy apears from my wand and leads the way before me,
towards the book section about Elleshal. It lands on a cyan coloured book and
then dissapears back into thin air. ''Thank you'' I whisper in my head,
thankfull for the animal magic of Elleshal that helps me even with the little
things.

I pick up the book from the dusty old planks and walk towards on of the
windows, where I sit down and open the book before me. It contains complexer
spells about the water healing technique, but it's al written down in the
language of Elleshall, luckily for me I speak their language just as good as
the language of Oduldale. The spells show more detail and complexer techniques,
more ways to use the water for healing, not only on animals but also on humans.
I read through the chapters, studying the spells and motions. When I've studied
all of it I put the book back where I found it, all the notes that I needed
from it now written down and ready to be practiced. A girl from Elleshall walks
into the same section, looking at me confused. I smile at her softly and head
out of her way back to the staircase in the middle of the library.

I head out od the odulxilium with my notes and decide to go towards the park in
Oduldale. Everyone will be practicing their magic inside which creates for
chaos and loud noises everywhere. In the park I sit down in the grass letting
the sun shine down on my pale skin. Im not used to the sun, in Illemis its
always foggy or cloudy because we live in between the mountains. I open my book
with notes and lay my two potion bottles filled with water next to it. I look
around in the park and notice a goup of dying wind lelies between the bushes. I
open my water bottles and crouch down by the wind lelies, poor beautiful white
flower slowly turning brown. ''aqua effusio'' I say and motion with my wand
towards the dying wind lelies. The water flows out of the bottles into the air
and covers the wind lelies, then the water lights up in a bright white and the
wind lelies are blooming like they've never been before.
''You don't see this type of magic often, especially not from an outsider.'' I
hear an old man say behind me. I stand up and turn around facing the man who
just spoke to me. The man must me older than 90, probably an elder from
Elleshall, his wand is now a long staff with leaves coming out if the top. I
smiled softly at him and he continued his stroll through the park.

I kept practicing the water magic in the park untill it turned dark. The was
almost no one to be found in the street of Oduldale around this time. I could
hear the animals sneaking around in the allyways. The people closing their
windows and the wind slowly breezing through the streets. Back at the
Odulxilium I walked into the Illemis wing and saw Thowh asleep in the middle of
his books. I laughed slightly and walked up to him, ''Hey wake up, you gotta
head to bed, might be a more comfortable sleeping spot.'' I tell him and he
opens his eyes.
''Yeah you might be right Ecith, how'd ur training go?'' He asks me as he
stands up. ''It went very well.'' I answer and head into my own room, drop down
onto my bed and fall into a deep sleep.

The next morning I wake up by the sun shining through my window. Judging from
the time the first round of the tournament will start in 3 hours, lots of time
to still eat some breakfast and head to Lenathor. Me, Thowh and Aria head
towards the dining hall together. It's very silent today in the dining hall,
everyone seems to be thinking about the first round and to be honest, I am
enjoying the silence quite a bit.

Time flies by and there is only one hour left till the first round starts, all
contestants have gathered at the Lenathor portal and are now one by one going
through it towards the Lenathor plaza where the first round will be held. After
Thowh, Aria, Kito, Azall and me are through the portal an Lenathor Elder leads
us to the right location. The plaza is massive and the citizens of Lenathor
have gathered all around it, wanting to watch the first round happen. All the
participents of the tournement get sent to the middle of the plaza and then
seperated so we are all standing alone and not within groups of our city
anymore.

An Elder of Lenathor steps forward and greets us all: ''Welcome participants of
the first tournament round, ofcourse showing of the most powerfull type of
magic there is from the oldest sister Lenathor. In a few minutes 50 injured
Lenathor citizens will walk onto the plaza and towards each of you. Your task
is to heal this citizen from their injuries. If u are uncapable to heal the
wounds of the citizen you will lose and you will be eliminated from the
Tournament. Let he citizens come onto the plaza!'' He says loudly and Lenathor
citizens come from all sides onto the plaza. Their white clothing flying in the
wind, some citizens have obious injuries such as bleeding wounds on their arms,
blue marks on their skin or dislocated bones. But other citizens dont have showing
injuries, on first glance. I look at a man in his thirties walking towards me
and locking eyes with me. He must be the one I need to heal, I study his walk
and notice that he is not walking correctly, there is probably something wrong
with his foot or leg.

Once all the citizens have gathered and are next to the right participent the
Elder speaks up again: ''Don't forget that you have a limited time to heal the
citizen, when the sun is right above the plaza ur time is up and you will be
eliminated. When you have healed your citizen you will shoot up a red flare in
the sky with your wand and a Lenathor Elder will check if you have really
healed the citizen. Now in the name of the oldest sister Lenathor, I hearby
start the first round of the Tournament.'' And with those ending words the
chaos starts. I look around trying to find Thowh and Aria, but I dont see hem
in the crowd of participents and citizens. I look up at the sun, this time will
go faster than anyone can imagine, so I take a deep breath to calm myself down
and face the citizen that I need to heal.

''Please sit down on the ground and take of your shoe.'' I tell the citizen and
he follows my order. I examen his leg and feet, they are completely swollen due
to a large infected old wound going down his leg all the way to his feet. I
grab my potion bottles filled with water, open them and set them down on the
ground between the man and myself.

Silently I take a minute to look at the chaos around me, people from Zhairan
are brewing potions and a lot of light magic spells are being cast all around.
I can see red flares already going up into the sky and it's only been 10
minutes, but time is ticking and I decide to focus back on my own citizen. I
grab my wand and motion from the bottles towards the injured leg. ''effusio
aquae sanitatem'' I whisper and the water starts glowing, it floats from the
bottles into the air and then covers the man his leg fully around. ''Aqaue
sanitatem'' I whisper again and the water starts to glow a bright white and then
vaporizes into the air. The man his leg is no longer swollen and infected, but
the scar is still visible and not fully healed. I curse softly to myself and
grab another two water bottles which I place between me and the man again. I
motion with my wand from the bottles to the mans wound and say: ''Aqua
effusio''. The water repeats the same cycle it did with the wind lelies. It
flows, our of the bottles and goes into the mans wound, then it glows brightly
and this time doesn't vaporize into the air. The wound is now gone and not even
a scar is visible.

I look up to the sun, still got enough time so I grab my potion bottles and
hang them back on my belt. Then I stand up and shoot a red flare form my wand
into the sky. A few seconds later an Elder is examening the citizen and nods in
approval. ''Congratulations, you have proven yourself worthy and have
succesfully finished Lenathors challenge, you will be escorted by the citizen u
healed towards the waiting house here in Lenathor.'' The Elder says and continues
to walk away. The citizen then walks me towards a big almost temple like
building where I enter a huge room. There is not that many participants yet,
ofcourse the five of Lenathor are already sitting around a table and laughing.
I look around and see a girl and a guy form Elleshall looking towards the magic
screen where the tournament is broadcasted on. I sit down at the table next to
them and decide to watch the tournament as well, to see how the other
participants are doing.
